The LaFrance Foundation proudly presents the First Annual LaFrance Taro Festival, celebrated at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall in Lihue on Saturday, March 29 from 11 AM to 5 PM. Festival proceeds go to the LaFrance Foundation, which was started in loving memory of LaFrance Kapaka-Arboleda, a local activist who supported the Hawaiian people. The LaFrance foundation supports educational programs on the island of Kauai and provides scholarship opportunities for students that wish to make a positive impact in their lives and their community.
Advanced tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or by contacting Donavan Pegedar at 246-1564 or at Aloha Island Properties, 3-3359 Kuhio Highway across from Wal-Mart. Tickets are $20 on the day of the event.
